Korean Trial of fusion music(Gayageum)

In Korea, there is so many kinds of traditional instruments. Among these, I like gayageum most. This instrument is string instument with 12 strings, recently variants also exists which have been constructed with 21 or other number of strings. I like Gagayageum because this instument have womanly beauty. Especially Gagayageum sanjo express their feeling very well. And sound is very smooth compare to other ancient instruments.

According to historical evidences, a history of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, it comes from ancient confederacy of Gaya. And later Gaya annexed by Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. That's because individual polities that made up the Gaya confedery have been characterized as small city states and this kind of political format is little bit turned over form compair to that of others. But because of plentiful natural source, culture is very well developed so, beauty of remains is extraordinary. I remember heard this when I study Korea History in my high school time.

Recently some traditional music group make flow to make it acceptable version for world level. And playing canon - with Gayageum and bitbox, is one of trials. When I heard this at first time, I was surprised. I think this trial could be remember milestone for Korean Music history.

Purpose of blogging

My purpose of blogging is that writing and learn about Korea, as like forieners do.
Even journalist didin't know before they search, and even teacher didn't know before they learn. I think understanding of some object starts when people try to search and learn. I have no hesitation in saying that this is the truth. And I also have practical exprience to prove this truth. During semester , working as teacher as second job I got to know reviewing subject to teach also good for me to revive all memory.

As every people who live one place for a long time knows, living long time do not always means they know that place very well. Eventhoug I born at South Korea and live about 20 years, I don't know what Korean characters of nation is, and what really plausible things to show foriegn friend. So, I am in a rather cautious manner to define ordinary Korean character.

I expect to search and learn about what korea is through this opportunity. And I also hope this information could be interesting path to anyone who want to know about Korea.

Why do Korean want to study about English?

Do you know this? almost all Korean want to study English.
They hope to speck English very well. why? Well... i don't know well. But i am studying English in the Philippines now. There are many people in here who are student for English. Why do they have to learn it? I can't answer. Korean doesn't use English much time. Some People never use English in their life. But they have to learn it for getting a good job and taking a high score in school. Because companies want to person who can speak English and school. I am going to get a job so i need English. Sometimes, i look at some people who don't need English but study it. This situation makes me feel pity. They just doing that don't need thing. It is a waste of time and money. Of course study is good. But if they need it, they do it at that time.

Korean children studying English before learn Korean. I think they have to learn mother's language and They have to love their language. Korean kept their language when Korea was Japanese colony. Why do they give up their language now? They have sovereignty. That is the same giving up their own sovereignty.

Korean is Korean so they have to keep Korean so then they are Korean.
