Korean Trial of fusion music(Gayageum)

In Korea, there is so many kinds of traditional instruments. Among these, I like gayageum most. This instrument is string instument with 12 strings, recently variants also exists which have been constructed with 21 or other number of strings. I like Gagayageum because this instument have womanly beauty. Especially Gagayageum sanjo express their feeling very well. And sound is very smooth compare to other ancient instruments.

According to historical evidences, a history of the Three Kingdoms of Korea, it comes from ancient confederacy of Gaya. And later Gaya annexed by Silla, one of the Three Kingdoms of Korea. That's because individual polities that made up the Gaya confedery have been characterized as small city states and this kind of political format is little bit turned over form compair to that of others. But because of plentiful natural source, culture is very well developed so, beauty of remains is extraordinary. I remember heard this when I study Korea History in my high school time.

Recently some traditional music group make flow to make it acceptable version for world level. And playing canon - with Gayageum and bitbox, is one of trials. When I heard this at first time, I was surprised. I think this trial could be remember milestone for Korean Music history.
